Allegro ma non troppo: the key strokes

In a song, let's take the piano as instrument example, one must play a sequence of keys, in the right order, with the exact rhythm. Otherwise, it hurts the ears.
Slalom runs have this need of touching the right keys, let's call them key strokes in order to have a melodic run and to flow properly. The difference between music and slalom is that in canoeing there is some improvisation between key strokes. In the song, the keys are what they are, period. Being that said, during the run analysis the key notes have to be remarked on the run pentagram, because those are the strokes that can't be lost. Those that played on the right moment give that feeling of tuned, that everything is flowing by itself. The previous strokes prepare that key stroke. Music sheets that put precision and improvisation together. How many times a stroke or an entire move feels like out of tune?

Allegro, ma non troppo
The 'tempo' should be find on the timing and on the cadence. Variable and adapted to the song. It's racing, so it has to be fast, but there is always some passages that have to be interpreted on a lower speed, in order to respect the flow. Not all the notes must be crotchets, some have to be semibreves for a better use of the water movement.

Trying to understand every instrument

Talking about water! Every course can be interpreted differently, that is why paddlers struggle more to play some rivers than others. It's like if everyone understands the water timing differently, like some water fits the athlete differently. Actually the gates are like a song that's has to be played in a course. Those who better interiorize the course timing are those who better perform the race song, because they flow with the music. Inspiration to create.

Example of a master during performing:

Allegro ma non troppo: Fast but not too much
Tempo: Speed of the music
Crotchets: Note, length is equal to one beat in 4/4 time
Semibreves: Note, length is equal to four beats in 4/4 time
